AirOrangeX, Syracuse University's high-speed wireless network provides an encrypted secure connection (802.1x)
to the SU network. The wireless network is now available in all University residential facilities, South
Campus apartments, and in many University buildings located both on and
off campus.
Compared to AirOrange, the older wireless network, AirOrangeX is:
- More secure,
- Faster,
- Easier to use, and
- Eliminates the need for clients to login every time they connect to the wireless network
(unless the NetID password is changed). The system automatically logs clients onto AirOrangeX.
