You must make a new account for SUmail within Entourage. Do not attempt to edit your
existing MyMail account in Entourage.
Begin the process of creating a new account for SUmail within Entourage by following
the instructions on the following Web site until you reach Step 5.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to set up Entourage for SUmail, you will need to
make the following modifications to the Web instructions:
- At Step 5, select IMAP for the Account Type instead of POP.
- At Step 6, use the following settings:
- Account name: SUmail
- Name: Your name as you want it to appear in your message header
- Email address: Your @syr.edu e-mail address
- Account ID: your NetID@syr.edu
- IMAP server: IMAP.EXCHANGELABS.COM
- Password: Your NetID password
- SMTP server: SMTP-HOST.syr.edu
- IGNORE the NOTE box about SMTP relay.
- At Step 7, make the following changes: Check "SMTP service requires secure
connection (SSL)" DO NOT check "Override default SMTP port" DO NOT change the port
number.
This will complete your SUmail account setup.
FINAL NOTE: You will also need to edit your old Mymail IMAP account in Entourage to remove the checkmark in front of "Include this account in my 'Send & Receive All' schedule" at the top of the Account Settings screen (see illustration under Step 6 in the Web instructions).
