A Real Streaming Media server is available for those faculty needing to provide real-time viewing of audio and video files to enhance their course material. The Streaming Media Server can host streaming media content associated with academic courses at Syracuse University. There is no charge for up to 30 minutes of content per course per semester. Additional materials can be hosted at a cost of $2.00 per content minute.
ITS staff members are available to consult with faculty members in the capture and encoding of content. Formatting and encoding services, when needed, will be outsourced or provided at a cost of $30 / hr.
