The Syracuse University Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) works with the campus community to provide a safe computing environment for students, faculty, and staff.

  • Students, faculty, and staff can report computer security incidents or security concerns about the SU network, suspicious e-mail or file attachments, personal data integrity, or violations of the SU Computing and Electronic Communications Policy by calling Information Technology and Services at 443-2677 or by e-mailing abuse@syr.edu.

  • Computing support personnel should report security incidents directly to the CIRT. Procedures for reporting incidents and contact information are available on the CIRT Incident Handling Web page on the ITS internal Web site. After logging into the site, click on the "Security" space on the Dashboard. Scroll down the page to find the link for the CIRT list.
